“City of Revival” – Provincial Council Week 2025

Under the theme “From a Clean Environment to a Healthy Life”,
the Aralaganwila Town was officially brought under the jurisdiction of the
Urban Development Authority (UDA) on 2025.09.17 through a live event.

In order to build a clean, safe, and sustainable urban environment that meets the daily needs of the people,
the Grama Niladhari divisions of 245 Eastern Aralaganwila, 246 Western Aralaganwila, and 238 Western Pimburattewa
were officially declared as urban development zones under the Extraordinary Gazette Notification on July 23, 2024.

The main focus was to raise public awareness on planning activities, legal frameworks, development initiatives,
and the importance of proper city organization under sustainable management.

The Dimbulagala Pradeshiya Sabha extends its sincere appreciation to all sectors that contributed to the success of this initiative.
